We were very busy this afternoon in room 9. We went outside and completed a geography trail around the school grounds. Each team had to find a wild flower, locate the green bins, do a bark rubbing, count how many windows there were in the PE hall and name the different shapes we could see in the yard door.
We had great fun in St Clare’s this morning taking part in 10@10. The whole school completed 10 minutes of exercise at 10 o’clock! Follow us on Twitter @stclares1803 to see us in action.
For the month of October we will be improving our gymnastic techniques. Today we were climbing, travelling/balancing on benches and carrying out pencil rolls. It was great fun trying out the different techniques.
European Week of Sport is in full swing! Today each class had a 30 minute activity slot to try out an activity. Second class played uni-hoc and fourth class played tag rugby. Check out the photos!

The European Week of Sport aims to promote sport and physical activity across Europe. The week is for everyone, regardless of age, background or fitness level.
Irish SCHOOLS are asked to promote physical activity in whatever way that they can during European Week of Sport. The focus of the week should be on FUN and INCLUSIVE physical activity.
#BeActive is a great way to kick start the school year.
