Scratch Programming in fifth class

ScratchLast Wednesday Ms. Duff’s fifth class began learning an exciting programming language called Scratch.”Scratch is a visual programming language that makes it easy to create interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art and share these creations on the web” (www.scratch.ie). The pupils will be undertaking a ten week course with Greg. Greg is a software engineer from Hewlett and Packard [HP] and has volunteered to give up his Wednesday afternoons to teach the pupils how to programme in scratch. We hope that all of the pupils enjoy this great opportunity to learn an exciting programming language.

The project is school based, but the scratch programme is free pupils to download at home as well if they so wish.  Click on the image below to check out some of the scratch programmes created by other schools and to download the programme.
