Well done to all our athletes who competed today.
The children in 1st class started the Be Active After-School Activity Programme this term with Ms Desmond, Ms Harvey and some parents from our school. The Be Active ASAP introduces children to physical activity in a safe, familiar, structured setting. The programme aims to improve the attitudes of both children and their parents towards physical activity. You can find out more information on www.beactiveasap.ie . This afternoon the children took part in athletics activities. They had great fun.
Camogie, Hurling and Athletics will begin this week as follows:
Camogie – Training: Monday 2:30 – 3:30 Matches: Wednesday
Hurling – Training: Tuesday 2:30 -3:30 Matches: Thursday
Athletics – Boys – Wednesday 2:30 – 3:30 Girls – Thursday 2:30 – 3:30
**This week athletics training for boys and girls will take place on Wednesday 9th March 2:30 – 3:30**
The wet weather didn’t stop Run a Mile beginning today. We got off to a running start!
Remember you need to be in at 7:50am for roll call every Wednesday and Friday.
On Monday the 18th of June we went out to the field to have Sports Day. It was a great day and all the pupils enjoyed it. Check out the photos below.
