This year in the hurling the boys did very well and got to semi-finale. We won three out of five matches and unfortunately lost the semi-finales. We played Scoil Chiaran. They were a very skillful team. Every one of their players played with a hurling club. We had a very talented team but we but they were on a different level. Next year we hope to get further with new players coming in but also some players are leaving the school. This year we had a great passing momentum from defense to attack. Here are some pictures of the semi-finale in Rings End.
On the 12th of June 2014 third and fourth class will have a hurling blitz.
Hopefully next year we will get further than we got this year and maybe we will win a trophy.
On Thursday 5th June we played a match against Scoil Chiarain, Donnycarney. They were a very strong team with all their players playing with a hurling club three times a week. We had a very good spell at the start of the second half but unfortunately they were too strong. Their teacher told us to keep trying hard and we would be even better next year. We wished them good luck for the final in Croke Park!
The children in Senior Infants have been taking part in hurling sessions every Thursday. They have great fun and always learn lots of new skills with the coaches from St Kevin’s Hurling Club.
