We had such a fantastic day today dressing up as characters from our favourite books, such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Harry Potter and Aliens Love Underpants! All of us enjoyed taking part in the parade and looking at the creative costumes in the hall.
We had such wonderful costumes today in senior infants, well done to all the boys and girls for taking part so enthusiastically and putting in so much effort! Thanks also to the parents for their help in making sure all the children came to school dressed up. I hope you all really enjoyed it! Happy Halloween😊
What a busy and fantastic day! We had our annual book character parade. Well done to all the boys and girls who put a huge effort into dressing up as their favourite book character.
Be safe and have a wonderful mid term break everyone!

4th class enjoyed reading their new library books outside this afternoon.
We had lots of fun today baking cupcakes. Each of us had a special job to do. Michael read aloud the instructions. Lorchán organised the baking equipment and ingredients throughout. Siluan carefully cracked the eggs and measured the flour using a weighing scales. Seán and Thomas mixed all of the ingredients together. Lastly, Ciarán spooned the mixture into the individual cupcake cases. Together we put the cupcakes in the oven and eagerly monitored the time on the classroom countdown timer. Once cooled down, we ate one delicious cupcake each and brought another home. We were happy boys and are excited to bake again soon.
Today 2nd class went to Rathmines library to see an exhibition. The exhibition was called “100 Days of Dogs” and it had lots of illustrations of different breeds of dogs. The librarian Eithne, was really friendly and she talked to us about the illustrator Tarsila Kruse and the story behind the exhibition. We had a quiz and got a chance to read books about dogs. Some students got to read the book itself and when we finished we had a look around the children’s library. We had great fun.
