We had so much fun during Maths Week 2020. On Monday and Tuesday, we played number board games. On Wednesday, we played Dominoes. On Thursday, we completed an outdoor maths trail and played Hopscotch. Finally, on Friday, we explored Numicon tiles in our sand trays during sensory play.
As part of maths week we tried out and learned to play lots of new fun games. We worked in pairs, took turns and used our maths skills and knowledge to play each game.
As a part of Maths Week, 5th class, Room 7 have come up with a number of word problems for all of the students in first class to solve. This morning, the two classes met and first class proved their worth as they solved over 20 word problems together.
On Friday, 5th class plan to come back with problems that are even more challenging. We can’t wait!
We are learning about patterns this week. We have been making patterns using, pegs, links, fruit and animals. We also found lots of patterns around our classroom!
