We were thrilled to win the runners up prize in the SEAI One Good Idea Competition for our Scooter Train. We had a fantastic day at the awards ceremony in Dublin castle and were amazed by all the excellent ideas from schools around the country who also presented on the day.

We are participating in The Big Travel Challenge. We are trying to encourage more people to walk to school. Below are the results for the last two weeks, including a graph showing the improvement in each class. We are excited to see which class will be the winners of the challenge!
On Friday 28th March we were delighted to win the WOW Boot in second class! You only receive the WOW Boot if your class has the highest number of children walking to school on Wednesday. This is our first time winning the WOW Boot. We are feeling very proud!!

This week was National Bike Week. All the children made a fantastic effort to cycle to school every day. On Wednesday, National COW Day, the Green School Committee counted the number of children who cycled or scooted to school. We had a total of 51 children who came to school on a bike and 61 children who scooted. Well done everyone!
As it’s European Mobility Week this week we are going to all have to try to walk cycle or scoot to school.
The class with the best record for comming to school by bike, scooter or on foot will win a lovely prize: Golden Time and the chance to have a Teddy Bears Picnic!!!!
So get out those bike scooters and walking shoes!!
