What a fantastic week we have had here in St Clare’s! We have been busy this week taking part in different activities for European Week of Sport. To finish off the week today, 6th class took on the teachers in tug of war. The teachers definitely need to work on their strength as 6th class beat them 2-1. Congratulations 6th class!
Well done everyone for participating so well in a superb week of sport!
European Week of Sport takes place from 23rd – 30th September. Don’t forget to wear your tracksuit every day next week. #BeActive
Gaelic football training for 4th – 6th class girls will resume this Monday from 2:30 – 3:30.
Gaelic football training for 4th – 6th class boys will resume this Tuesday from 2:30 – 3:30.
We had great fun taking part in our sports day today. We enjoyed each race event, sitting on the grass in the fresh air and cheering on each other and the other boys and girls.
We spent this afternoon making eye-catching banners for the camogie and hurling finals taking place in Croke Park next week. We practiced chanting, “Let’s Go St. Clare’s, Let’s Go!” while keeping a tapping, clapping beat, and are now really good at it. At home time, we proudly chanted while holding up our banners as those with scooters and bikes passed by our room. We enjoyed this moment a lot and so did the other students passing by. Everyone in Room 18 wishes both teams the very best of luck on Tuesday!
4th class getting creative this afternoon. Croke Park will be a sea of colour with their posters on Tuesday!
