In Junior Infants we investigated different materials. We guessed which material would be best for building a house; straw, wood or bricks. We recorded our predictions.

We tested the materials by sqeezing, ripping, pulling them to see if we could break them. The children worked in groups and constructed houses made out of straw, wooden sticks or lego(plastic).  We learned about different types of materials (metal, wood, plastic)  and sorted them.

This experiment linked to the story, The Three Little Pigs.
