2nd Class Book Launch.

Throughout the last term 2nd class have been working together to write and illustrate a short story.  Our finished product is called ‘Panda on the Loose’ and we are delighted to be publishing it today here on the St. Clare’s website.

Please click on the document below to read our story.

Panda on the Loose

If you’re still not convinced here is our blurb:

‘Marvin is a boy who is afraid of two things: heights and Giant Panda’s. When he gets stuck in a Helter Skelter slide with a fully grown  Panda he thinks things are bad. Little does he know that the evil Mr and Mrs Sykes are way scarier and they are determined to catch the two miscreants. Join Marvin and Zi Zi on this great adventure.’

Big Game Previews

Tomorrow is a historic day for the camogie players and hurlers of St. Clare’s. When they take to the field in Croke Park they will enter into a very elite and lucky group of players who’ve gotten to play at GAA headquarters.  Win lose or draw they will always be able to say ‘I played in Croke Park with St. Clare’s’ and  that privilege is something many players who’ve passed through the school could only have dreamed of. But like those who preceded them they boys and girls on the squads  tomorrow will  undoubtedly represent themselves, their families, their school and their clubs with pride.

The girls will be first up tomorrow as they take on Holy Rosary in the Sciath Olly Quinlan. Throw in is at 11:10 am

The boys will take to the field  in the afternoon for a 2:40pm throw in where they will renew rivalries with their friends and Kevins  Hurling Club team mates when they take on Griffith Barracks in the Sciath Pádraig Mac Giolla Bhearraigh.

Below are pictures taken after  our hard fought victories in the semi finals.
